National Spa Week 2021: Celebrating wellness
National Spa Week returns this November 2021. Here at Superior Wellness, we think that self-care and wellness should be celebrated every day.
This National Spa Week, we’re highlighting importance of self-care and the connection between hot tubs and wellbeing. Most hot tubs are designed to provide relaxation through hydrotherapy, but there are also models designed to help maintain fitness too.
Hot tub health benefits
We are all guilty of not prioritising self-care and treating ourselves to enough ‘me time’, but sometimes it’s essential to take time out to indulge. A soak in a warm, bubbly hot tub (often referred to as a spa), offers the ideal fix to soothe away any worries or stresses you may be experiencing
A hot tub not only brings hours of enjoyment and relaxation but has several health benefits too. It can help to reduce stress and anxiety, relieves headaches, helps to burn fat faster and is also great for your skin.
A hot tub can boost your circulation and reduce strain on the heart and can even help improve your sleep. The warm water and hydro massage offers a great release if you have aching joints from injuries, arthritis or other conditions such as fibromyalgia. It is also fantastic for those who partake in strenuous exercise.
Engage your senses
A perfect way to make the most of your hot tub this National Spa Week, is to fully engage your senses.
Sight
Scientific research reveals that colours can influence our emotions and health, as well as causing positive reactions in our minds and bodies. This is referred to as Chroma therapy. Many of our hot tubs come with built in LED lights and technology, creating a constant colour wash or flowing colour sequence. From underwater LED lighting, illuminated waterfalls to exterior panel lighting, our options have been designed to suit all different types of moods and aesthetics.
Sound
Many of our hot tubs come with Bluetooth built in, giving you the flexibility to stream your favourite artists, playlist, podcast or radio station. Or, if you’re wanting a more relaxed retreat, you can completely switch off and listen to the calming sounds of nature and the great outdoors from the comfort of your very own hot tub.
Smell
Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils for therapeutic benefit; a fantastic way to stimulate your sense of smell when soaking in your hot tub. We recommend adding scents or fragrances around your hot tub to compliment your mood.
However you choose to celebrate this National Spa Week, make sure you dedicate sometime to self-care.
