The Role
We are looking for a skilled Responsable du référencement with experience planning & executing website migrations. The ideal candidate should have experience in both technical and on-page optimisations as well as monitoring and identifying keyword opportunities to help plan and execute SEO strategies that improve organic rankings, maintain search visibility, and drive traffic.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Site Migrations
- Audit existing websites, including crawling, sitemap extraction, and content inventory
- Identify essential pages, content, and redirects to retain SEO equity
- Check rankings and keyword visibility using tools like Sistrix, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
- Create redirect maps and ensure smooth URL transitions
- Address potential SEO pitfalls like duplicate content, thin pages, and broken links
Technical SEO & On-Page Optimization
- Conduct keyword research and optimize metadata, headers, and URLs
- Improve website speed, indexability, and structured data where relevant
- Identify internal linking opportunities for improved crawlability
- Work with developers to resolve any site performance or indexing issues
Analytics & Tracking
- Set up and manage Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other tracking systems to monitor website performance, including user behaviour, traffic sources, and lead generation.
- Provide regular SEO performance reports, offering insights and recommendations to improve rankings, traffic, and conversion rates.
- Track the success of link-building initiatives and provide reports on the number and quality of backlinks acquired.
Content SEO & Strategy
- Assist in rewording and improving content for SEO
- Develop blog content that aligns with keyword opportunities and search intent
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed in content production
WordPress Management & Development (Bonus)
- Work with a bespoke WordPress template to manage and launch new sites
- Customize and enhance features based on client requirements
- Understand the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for small tweaks (bonus skill)
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in SEO, site migrations, and website audits
- Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Sistrix, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
- Understanding of technical SEO (redirects, site speed, structured data)
- Ability to analyse data and provide actionable SEO insights
- Strong content SEO skills (keyword research, on-page optimization, content strategy)
- Knowledge of WordPress (themes, plugins, content management)
- Some familiarity with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a plus but not essential
