Superior Wellness wins Apprentice of the Year
Superior Wellness is delighted to announce that Will Brooks, Digital Marketing Apprentice, has won the Apprentice of the Year 2022 award at the Love Chesterfield Awards.
Will began his Digital Marketing Level 3 Apprenticeship at Superior Wellness at the end of October 2021 through Baltic Apprenticeships. This was Will’s first job in an office at the age of 18. It was a complete change of environment compared to college. Will adapted well and was keen to learn and progress from day one.
Will has been an integral part of the marketing team during a particularly busy time. He has grown in confidence both in his work and personally since he started.
He has grown in confidence both in his work and personally since he started. He continues to take on more responsibility and has taken ownership of some of our social media channels, internal communications and website content. Will is hard working and gets on with whatever is asked of him. He also gets on well with colleagues across the business and has integrated well into the culture including playing pool at lunch time!
Will has stayed late after work when necessary to get the job done. He also won the Employee of the Month in May 2022 due to taking an additional workload and was nominated by colleagues.
The nominations said:
“I’ve heard nothing but praise for the extra work he’s taken on”
“For really stepping up to the plate, picking up lots of responsibility despite his lack of experience, and just seems to take it in his stride!”
“Stepped up this month again and is smashing his role and going beyond what is needed”
“Considering he’s an apprentice you wouldn’t have thought so, he’s been absolutely brilliant not just this month but for the last few months. So huge well done to him for taking on so much and smashing it.”
Sarah Elphick, Head of Marketing at Superior Wellness who nominated Will for the prestigious award said: “I am so proud that Will has been awarded Apprentice of the Year. He really is an asset, and we are delighted to have him in the team. We are looking forward to continuing helping him to develop and we hope he progresses his career here after he has completed the apprenticeship. Well done Will and congratulations!”
Will Brooks, Apprentice of the Year winner said: “I want to thank everyone who has helped me achieve this award as I wouldn’t have been able to do so without them. I hope I can continue to develop and grow around my amazing team.”
Due to the success of Will as an apprentice in the marketing team, this has led Superior Wellness to recruit an additional apprentice in the marketing team and one in the development team. Apprenticeships are a great opportunity for people to start their career and we are huge advocates of them here at Superior Wellness.
Congratulations to all of the nominees and thank you to Love Chesterfield for putting together such a wonderful event. The awards ceremony took place at a black-tie event on Wednesday 12 October at the Winding Wheel in Chesterfield.
